2025 National SBDC Day

Celebrate National SBDC Day!

  • Impact
  • March 11, 2025

On Wednesday, March 19, 2025, the Florida SBDC Network will celebrate the ninth annual, national SBDC Day, and you’re invited to join in the celebration.

What is SBDC Day?

SBDC Day is a national, collective celebration of the success and impact that America’s Small Business Development Centers (SBDCs) foster each year. SBDCs provide consulting, training, and resources to aspiring and existing small businesses. Whether you have an idea and are just starting out or you’re an existing business looking to grow, SBDCs have the right tools and specialized expertise to help you achieve success. SBDC Day will unite the nearly 1,000 SBDC centers across the country and the hundreds of thousands of clients they serve each year by sharing, in real-time, the success stories and notable impacts SBDCs collectively have on the small business community at large.

Why Should You Celebrate?

Small businesses are the backbone of Florida’s economy. With more than 3.3 million small businesses making up over 99% of all businesses in the state, their success is vital to our communities. These businesses provide jobs, support families, and drive innovation and economic growth.

The Florida SBDC at UWF is proud to play a critical role in helping these businesses launch, grow, and thrive. Each year, we assist hundreds of small businesses in Florida — all at no cost. When you celebrate SBDC Day, you’re not just recognizing our network — you’re celebrating the hardworking small business owners who power Florida’s economy.

Your support on SBDC Day helps raise awareness of the resources available to small businesses, ensuring more entrepreneurs can access the guidance and support they need to succeed. By spreading the word, you contribute to the growth of local businesses, job creation, and a stronger, more resilient economy for all.

How Do I Join the Celebration?

We’re calling all of our clients and partners to help us celebrate! Participating is easy:

Share Your SBDC Story!

● Share your story. Comment and share our “Share Your Story” post on social media. Tell us how the Florida SBDC has made a difference in your life or business.

● Join the conversation. Tag us on Facebook, X, and Instagram and use the #SBDCDay hashtag to share how the Florida SBDC Network has made a difference for your business and community.

● Advocate for small businesses. Write a letter to your local representative sharing how the Florida SBDC Network has impacted your success.

● Reconnect with us. If you haven’t seen us in a while or are interested in becoming a client, schedule a no-cost consulting appointment with us!

● Spread the word. SBDCs are often called “the best-kept secret.” Help us change that by telling other small business owners about the resources available to them.

Join Us in Making a Difference

SBDC Day is about more than just celebrating our network — it’s about celebrating the incredible entrepreneurs who drive our economy forward. By supporting SBDC Day, you’re helping to shine a light on the resources that make small business success possible.
