Your Florida SBDC at UWF is delighted local client Taste of Pensacola earned the winning project for the Florida SBDC Network‘s statewide competition of Small Business Student Project of the Year.
Congratulations to inspiring entrepreneurs Tia Robbins and Ricki Stewart, the hardworking and creative undergraduate student team from Dr. Felicia Morgan’s social media marketing class last school year, Dr. Morgan herself, and Florida SBDC at UWF’s Associate Director Christa Wilson, for helping clench this achievement.
Teamwork Makes the Dream Work
This opportunity for small business clients, students, and statewide recognition wouldn’t be possible without the support of the UWF Lewis Bear Jr. College of Business and UWF. Moreover, special kudos go out to this small business social media project’s spearheading students Sydney Alger, Latosha Faust, Krista Okahaski, Shyla Penfold, and Charlotte Taylor.
The Florida SBDC announced the award at the state SBDC network’s annual network conference the evening of Aug. 21, where the SBDC also highlighted a winning graduate student project.
Our region’s businesses and marketing students wouldn’t have this unique, beneficial opportunity without the team effort of entrepreneurs, students, UWF, and SBDC. Congratulations again to those who shared in the valuable hard work and well-deserved spotlight.
